Covid-19 deaths in Iloilo province rise to 713

Individuals who succumbed to Covid-19 in Iloilo province climbed to 713, based on data from the Iloilo Provincial Health Office (PHO).

Out of the 713 Covid-19 mortalities, 388 have comorbidities while the 325 have no comorbidities.

Iloilo province logged 42 Covid-19 deaths from September 13 to September 16, 2021.

On Thursday, Sept. 16, the province recorded 11 deaths including a 79-year-old male from Sara; a 58-year-old female from Leon; a 39-year-old male from Banate; a 70-year-old male from Lambunao; a 76-year-old male from Janiuay; 89-year-old male, 92-year-old male, and 69-year-old female from Pototan; a 74-year-old female from Passi City; a 72-year-old male from San Miguel; and a 59-year-old female from Alimodian.

On the same day, Iloilo province recorded 418 new cases and 246 recoveries.

The 418 new cases were detected in the towns of Oton (51), Sara (36), Pototan (30), Santa Barbara (25), Concepcion (22), and Dumangas and Pavia while the other 35 local government units (LGUs) recorded less than 20 cases.

Covid-19 cases in the province continue to rise with 400 cases logged on Sept. 12; 318 new cases and 12 deaths on Sept. 13; 317 new cases and 12 deaths on Sept. 14; and 369 new cases and seven deaths on Sept. 15.

Following the consistent spike of new Covid-19 cases, total cases in the province is now at 29,306 while active cases climbed to 6,690, as of Sept. 16. (ERS)
