Criminology graduate nabbed for illegal drugs

DUMARAO, Capiz – A criminology graduate was arrested Tuesday morning in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Units of Dumarao and Dumalag PNP and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office at Barangay Janguslob here.

Police identified the suspect as Kathlene Dalisay, 26, Barangay Poblacion Ilawod.

Police Captain Larnel Frial, chief of Dumarao PNP, said they conducted two weeks of surveillance before conducting the operation.

Recovered from the suspect were 10 sachets of suspected shabu with a market value of P5,000, the P1,000 marked money, cellphone, wallet, and P100 cash.

Dalisay is presently detained at the Dumarao PNP while charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared.

Meanwhile, an ex-convict was also arrested after illegal drug and guns were recovered after a raid on his house at President Roxas town Tuesday.

Members of the President Roxas, Pilar and Pontevedra PNP arrested Mark Dolorfino, 39, after 9 sachets of suspected drugs and a .45 caliber pistol were recovered from his house on Elizalde Street, Barangay Poblacion.

Police Captain Hilbert Gervero, President Roxas police chief, said they also seized 13 more plastic sachets with powder residue, seven live .45 caliber ammunitions, several drug paraphernalia, P61,000 cash and other belongings.

He said the suspect was identified as a high value target (HVT) and was previously arrested in another drug buy-bust operation.

Dolorfino was jailed for four years and was released in 2018 through plea-bargaining agreement.

But he was placed under surveillance after police was monitored that he sold illegal drugs again.

He is presently detained at President Roxas PNP.
