CYCLISTS OF ALL LEVELS GEARED UP FOR THE FIRST SHOPWISE BIKEFEST AT CAVITE

Close to 2,500 cyclists rode the streets of Vermosa to celebrate a day shared with family and friends!

CITY OF IMUS, Cavite (19 May 2024) – Excitement mounts among cycling enthusiasts and newbies as they participated in the Inaugural Shopwise Bike Fest, scheduled on May 19, 2024.

With title sponsor Shopwise, a prominent retail chain dedicated to advocating an active and wholesome way of life, the Bike Fest inspired individuals and families to embrace the benefits of cycling.

The fun ride that attracted almost 2.500 participants, featured three distances for adult categories – a 45KM ride, a 30KM ride and a 60KM individual and corporate open. Kids from 6 to 15 years old will have their 30-minute solo ride or a 30-minute family ride. Smaller kids ages 2 to 5 years old will have their own Tricycle ride with options to go for the 100m or the 500m course. Each registrant received a drift shirt or a bike jersey (45km & 60km), a finisher’s medal, a registration loot bag, and a grocery bag full of goodies from Shopwise!

Mayor Alex Advincula of Imus City emphasized the city’s commitment to foster community engagement with events that promote the well-being of its citizens. Vermosa strengthens its standing as the preferred location for the new cycling event.  With the increase in engagement and participation of the local community and beyond, the Shopwise Bike Fest shows that the cycling market is broad and inclusive.
