‘Dear Uge’ debuts new format, offers new episodes beginning this Sunday

Exciting stories and a special lineup of celebrity guests await Kapuso viewers as GMA Network’s well-loved comedy anthology “Dear Uge” gets a revamp via its brand-new episodes beginning this Sunday (May 30).

Dubbed by the show’s lead star, award-winning actress, and TV host Eugene Domingo as one of the most flexible programs, Dear Uge is no stranger to the ever-changing grounds of TV productions. Since its premiere in 2016, Dear Uge deftly captured the hearts of Kapuso viewers with its comical and imaginative stories that are narrated in distinctive ways – from reading letters in her variety store and now to a more modern approach as a web life coach.

After several months of preparation to produce fresh and innovative content for the viewers, Eugene expresses her excitement on their newest offering, “Sobrang saya. Ito na naman ang Dear Uge, talagang matibay. Nakapag-adjust pa kami ng format na lalong mas naging nakakatuwa para mas buo ang entertainment ng ating loyal viewers every Sunday. Talagang nagpapasalamat kami sa aming mga manonood.”

The comedienne further reveals some interesting details on what to expect from the show’s rebranding, “Naisip namin na ibalik sa single episode every Sunday. Si Uge rin ay wala na sa tindahan, siya ay nagbabasa ng online stories in a fresh environment with a guest bilang resource person o iinterbyuhin niya para makatulong sa kung ano man ang tema ng episode. Pero ako lang din ‘yun, portraying different characters in a very comical way. At the end of the episode, may sasabihin pa ring aral si Dear Uge.”

This Sunday, witness the amusing story of Badette (Katrina Halili), aka Red Pepper, the boss of Red Pepper Gang, and her underlings Matador (Rob Sy), Dogs (Buboy Villar), and Pogi (Gil Cuerva). When her sister Angela (Kate Valdez), who is a nun, leaves the monastery and decides to live with her, Badette is forced to live a dual life – a philanthropist when she’s with Angela and a gang boss when she’s with her underlings.

For Angela, Badette is a saint-like figure who is always helping people in need. This is the reason why Badette makes sure that Angela never finds out about her being a gang boss. But when Angela tries to look for Badette and goes to her gang’s hideout, mistaking it for her office, will she find out about her sister’s secret?

Don’t miss the brand-new episode of “Dear Uge: Gangstah Sistah” this Sunday (May 30), 3:35PM, after Kapuso Blockbusters on GMA Network.
