The man behind UST’s four-peat crown campaign, coach Aric del Rosario, passed away at the age of 80.

Tagged to be the best UST head coach in the history of the UAAP, coach del Rosario spearheaded UST’s illustrious years in the league and help hone PBA legends like Chris Cantonjos, Dennis Espino, and Bal David.

According to his family members, the UST orchestrator suffered a cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead on arrival.

One of the most iconic moments in del Rosario’s coaching tenure was helping the Philippines clinch the 2003 Southeast Asian Games gold medal.

Del Rosario’s last coaching stint was with the Parañaque Patriots last 2018 in the MPBL.
