DELIVERING ‘CARE BEYOND CURE’: QualiMed Iloilo rebrands, converges with Ayala’s healthcare medical network

Qualimed Hospital-Iloilo redefines and humanizes healthcare as it stands under its new name, “Healthway QualiMed Hospital – Iloilo” — a rebranding brought by the integration of all Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. (AC Health) hospitals and clinics under the Healthway Medical Network (HMN) brand.

Margaret Bengzon, chief operating officer of the QualiMed Health Network Group, said the multi-sectoral collaboration in healthcare is in line with the vision of AC Health to build an ecosystem of healthcare assets that can work synergistically for the benefit of the patient.

The new brand of AC Health’s HMN comes with a promise to deliver “Care Beyond Cure” anchored on “Connected Care Circles,” Healthway’s innovative model of care.

“Being a healthcare network it is important that we realize the promise of integration in the care that we deliver, the care that we provide. We conceptualized a very unique model of care, which we have proprietarily named “Connected Care Circles,” said Bengzon.

Bengzon added that “Connected Care Circles” are built around major clinical areas and are designed to respond to the entire range of the patient’s journey across the health continuum — preventive care, diagnostics, treatment and post-care.

Paulo Borromeo, president and chief executive officer of AC Health, said the expansion is a realization of the vision and commitment to address gaps in the healthcare sector.

As such, Borromeo said AC Health created a network that spans the entire continuum of and is working across three pillars in the pharmaceuticals, digital health, and the clinics and hospitals groups.

He continued that the unveiling of the HMN signifies more than a mere name change but represents AC Health’s “unwavering dedication to providing compassionate, coordinated care that is always patient-first.”

The official launch of Qualimed’s new name on May 22 comes after the inauguration of the first fertility and reproductive care center in Western Visayas and AC Health’s turnover ceremony of around two hundred care cards to Iloilo City and province’s local government.

Present during the Qualimed’s ceremonial signage lighting Healthway’s new legacy brand ceremony were Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., leaders from the Ayala, AC Health, and Healthway Groups, and former Iloilo City councilor Jay Treñas.
