ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Four more persons succumbed to dengue in the province of Capiz.
Based on Provincial Dengue Case Bulletin of the Provincial Health Office, two of the fatalities were from Roxas City and one each from President Roxas and Pontevedra towns.
Record also showed that the PHO recorded 749 dengue cases from January to October 1, 2022, higher compared to the same period last year by 276.38 percent or 199 cases.
Because of this, the PHO continued to advise the public to clean their surroundings, wear long sleeves and pants, apply insect repellant on the skin, and seek consultation with doctors if they have symptoms.
Meanwhile, 233 dengue cases have been recorded in Roxas City from January to October 1 this year.
This was confirmed by Dr. Lory Cahilog, City Health Officer.
She said the City Health Office (CHO) recorded two deaths from Barangay Tanque and very recently a 6-year-old child from Barangay Dumolog here.
Based on the data, Barangay Milibili has the most number of dengue cases with 17; followed by Banica (15), Mongpong (13), Punta Tabuc and Tanque (12 each), Cagay and Lawaan (11 each), and Lanot and Bolo (10 each).
