The Detroit Pistons maintained their dominant form after demolishing the Chicago Bulls by 40 points, 132-92, and racked up their second straight win in the ongoing NBA regular season on February 12, 2025.

Detroit quickly pulled away in the first quarter after opening the Eastern Conference matchup with a 16-point lead, 34-18, and didn’t look back as they dominated the game from start to finish.

A collective scoring effort doomed the Bulls as the trio of Cade Cunningham, Tobias Harris, and Ausar Thompson led the early offensive avalanche for the Pistons that opened up a convincing first-quarter performance.

Aside from the starting unit, the bench mob also delivered the spark that the Pistons needed spearheaded by veteran shooter Malik Beasley who made it rain from downtown.

Midway through the second period, the game got out of hand for Chicago as Detroit mounted a 42-point advantage at the end of the half.

Running out of any options, the Bulls decided to tweak their rotation in hopes of receiving any comeback sparks but the rolling Pistons relentlessly attacked them at will and banked on their momentum.

Chicago then waved the white flag and sat all of its starters in the fourth in preparation for its next game, which is still against the Pistons today.

Beasley led all scorers in the game and ended up with 24 big points built from an efficient 7/10 shooting from the three-point line in just 15 minutes of playing time.

As soon as Beasley checked in midway through the first, the streaky shooter quickly sprayed from downtown at will, which was the huge reason why the Pistons got off to a waxing hot start.

Backstopping Beasley during the lopsided win was Cunningham, the team’s franchise floor general, who stuffed the stat sheets with 20 markers, seven assists, and six rebounds.

The duo of Harris and Thompson delivered 18 and 16 points, respectively, while bruising center Isaiah Stewart chipped in 14 markers, six boards, and three dimes.

On the other hand, the struggling Chicago squad had no players who reached the 15th-point mark, with sensational rookie Matas Buzelis top-scoring the team with 12 markers.
