The Philippines couldn’t be any prouder of you, Carlos Yulo.

Yulo is the man. Two gold medals in two days in the most prestigious sporting event in the world? Now that’s a certified legendary status.

24 hours after delivering the second-ever Olympic gold medal for the PHL when he topped the men’s gymnastics floor exercise event, Yulo showed he still had enough gas left in the tank after dominating the vault event on August 5, 2024.

Just like his floor exercise routine when he was nothing but flawless, Yulo also showcased his all-around skills in the vault and hauled a total of 15.116 points which was enough to help him capture his second gold medal in the Paris Olympics.

Yulo kicked off the men’s vault finals with a precise run, capping off his first set with a triple flip off the top ended with a perfect landing.

His impressive execution in the first vault garnered him a total of 15.433 points and immediately prepared to begin his routine in the second vault.

After a triple flip that highlighted his performance in the first vault, Yulo tried something new for his final run and chose to execute a piked double front half-out move that secured his second gold in two days.

The judges gave Yulo a score of 14.800 in the second vault, edging Artur Davytan of Armenia who won the silver medal and Harry Hepworth of Britain who brought home the bronze.

Despite the pressure of entering his second straight men’s artistic gymnastic finals, Yulo only had success in his mind with the ultimate goal of rewriting history as the first Filipino to win two golds in a single edition of the Olympics.

Salamat sa lahat ng ibinuhos mo at mabuhay ka ulit, Carlos Yulo!
