Didal, Yulo, make Forbes Asia 30 best athletes under 30-years-old

Ace skateboarder Margielyn Didal and top PH gymnast Carlos Yulo make it to the 2020 Forbes Asia 30 under 30 list for sports and entertainment.

The list, who were specially hand-picked by Forbes journalists, identifies those who excelled in the field of sports and entertainment under the age of 30.

Didal who cemented her spot as one of the best Asian skateboarders after clinching the 2018 Asian Games gold, only added to her growing list of accolades ever since her stellar Asian Games stint.

Currently ranked as the world’s number 14 skateboarder, Didal won a series of international tournaments carrying the Philippine flag.

Her sacrifices paid off big-time after securing her Tokyo Olympics berth, staying within the top 20 skaters of the street event.

Meanwhile, Yulo, the most decorated gymnast during the 2019 Southeast Asian Games with 2 golds and 5 silvers, sealed his name as one of the best to do it in Asia.

The Tokyo Olympic qualifier also made history as the first Southeast Asian to win the gold medal in the 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship held in Stuttgart, Germany.

In the same tournament, Yulo sealed his Olympic seat after placing 18th out of the 160 gymnasts to advance to the men’s finals.

The Forbes Asia edition featured 10 total categories including top entrepreneurs, leaders, and change-makers under 30-years-old.
