The Dingle Bridge, an essential artery along the Poblacion-Dingle-Camabugan Road in Iloilo, has undergone significant rehabilitation and repair by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Iloilo 2nd District Engineering Office.

The ₱57-million project focused on enhancing the structural integrity and functionality of the bridge to meet the growing demands of the community.

The project included the rehabilitation of two existing spans, construction of an additional span, asphalt overlay, PCCP concreting, protection works, regulatory signs, and thermoplastic pavement markings.

Additionally, it included painting and electrical works, further enhancing the bridge’s functionality and safety.

DPWH 6 Regional Director Sanny Boy O. Oropel explained that the rehabilitation of the bridge is important for bolstering accessibility and stimulating socio-economic growth in the region.

“The Dingle Bridge rehabilitation project underscores the DPWH’s commitment to infrastructure development and the welfare of its citizens,” Director Oropel said.

The reopening of Dingle Bridge serves as a vital transportation link and stands as a symbol of resilience and progress, marking a new era of connectivity and opportunity for the residents of Dingle and neighboring towns. (DPWH)
