Down 5 to 1 in the first set, Novak Djokovic mounted one of the best comebacks in Australian Open history.

With just 1 game away from clinching the first set and gain the early control, Roger Federer was just a few strokes from gaining the early advantage, unfortunately Djokovic had other plans.

Determined not to lose any momentum, the World no. 2 from Serbia almost played a perfect game and was unfazed despite the score, rallying back to send it to a tiebreaker.

Djokovic then punished the Swiss Maestro in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4, 6-3, gaining a much-needed confidence booster in the Australian Open Finals.

Federer was unable to recover from losing the first set and it showed, suffering so many unforced errors while also committing numerous double faults that sent the game in Djokovic’s way.

Djokovic will wait for the winner between the Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev semifinal matchup and tallied another win in his head to head battle with Federer.
