The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 6 in partnership with the Regional and Provincial Public Service Employment Offices (PESOs) will hold the 4th Regional PESO Congress on August 25-27, 2021 in the Province of Iloilo.
Themed Strengthening Employment Facilitation Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic, the activity will recognize the accomplishments of PESOs in employment facilitation and a venue for sharing best practices on PESO programs.
One hundred seventy-three (173) PESO Managers and Job Placement Officers were invited in the activity via Zoom.
Sec. Silvestre H. Bello III and Asst. Sec. Dominique Rubia-Tutay will grace the activity along with other DOLE Regional Office No. 6 key officials.
Rep. Loren B. Legarda of the Lone Congressional District of Antique will provide valuable insights as the Keynote Speaker.
Aside from promoting a strong camaraderie and cooperation among the PESOs, the three-day activity is also expected to provide learning opportunities through a series of lectures and discussions.
The participants will be provided with updates of Bureau of Local Employment on National Skills Registry System, PHILJOBNET, Search for Best PESO (SBP) and Public Employment Information System (PEIS) Walkthrough.
Topics in the plenary sessions also include Mental Health and Good Leadership Amidst Pandemic, Virtual Technology and Cyber-security for the 21st Century Workforce, Practical Tips on Self-Care during Pandemic and Guide in Handling Clients under Stress and Distress, Experiential Leadership: Challenges and Triumphs of a True Leader, Guide to Successful Event Management in the New Normal, COVID-19 Changing the Labor Market, and Business Start-up in the Phase of the New Normal.
