The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Field Office in Iloilo has issued a warning to the public about individuals soliciting money in exchange for the release of benefit claims.
According to a DOLE-Iloilo advisory, scammers are using the email address doleiloilo@gmail.com to collect payments from workers, falsely promising the release of various benefits.
“DOLE Iloilo Field Office does not grant nor release any alleged COVID-related benefits or SSS benefits,” the advisory stated.
The agency clarified that it does not employ individuals named Arvin Karlo, Jen Magbanua, Wilbert D., or Bangate De Leon Jowheng, as falsely claimed in these fraudulent schemes. It also emphasized that no payments are processed through the GCash number 0967-127-9314.
DOLE Iloilo reminded the public that its only official email address is ro6_iloilo@dole.gov.ph. For processing SSS unemployment benefits, the official email is dolesssifo@gmail.com.
The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to benefit claims.
