BACOLOD City – A decomposing dolphin was found at the shoreline of Barangay Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental Thursday, October 10.
According to Police Major Lowell Garinganao, town police chief, the dolphin was found by some residents early morning that day.
Garinganao said the dolphin was dead for a few days already. “It probably died somewhere and was washed ashore there,” he added.
Authorities did not examine the dolphin because it was already in its advanced state of decomposition and decided to bury it.
Last month, four dead dolphins were also found in Bago-Pulupandan coastal area in the province.
