Domingo Lacson National High (DLNHS) ruled the Under-18 Softball Tournament hosted by the Department of Education (DepEd) and Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) at the Bacolod City National High School grounds.
DLNHS defeated Ramon Torres National High School (RTNHS)-Bago City in the title match, 5-3, to cop the crown.
RTNHS reached the finals at the expense of Bacolod City National High School (BCNHS).
Silay City’s Barangay E. Lopez National High School finished fourth in the games.
DLNHS brought home the championship trophy and P15,000 cash while RTNHS pocketed P10,000 while
BCNHS won third with a cash gift of P7,000 while the Silay City softbelles brought home P5,000 cash.
The Negros Occidental provincial government under Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” V. Lacson, along with Provincial Sports Head and Executive Assistant Anthony Carlo Agustin, hosted the tournament along with DepEd and ASAPHIL.
Lacson reiterated his deep appreciation to the Palarong Pambansa Secretariat headed by Usec Atty. Revsee Escobedo along with the rest of DepEd officials and staff for partnering with Negros Occidental for the event.
Provincial Sports Head and Executive Assistant Tony Agustin also thanked their partners and the provincial government for helping realize the games. (Provincial Sports Office)
