The newly-built Capiz Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region VI was inaugurated on December 1. This is a pre-event activity in-line with the virtual celebration of 2020 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) in Region VI set on December 2-3.
The simple event was graced by the DOST VI Regional Director, Engr. Rowen R. Gelonga joined by Capiz Provincial S&T Director Mr. Gerbe B. Dellava, CAPSU President Dr. Editha C. Alfon. CAPSU Roxas City Campus Administrator, Dr. Ma. Dorothee J. Villaruz.
The Capiz PSTC is set as an environment-friendly facility. In the next few months it will be installed with the rain water harvesting, solid waste management and solar panel systems. “Although we have a very small building, we made sure that we have the necessary facilities aside from our offices in order to deliver our services to our clients effectively and efficiently.” He made sure that the purpose of the Capiz PSTC is not just a roof above the employees and personnel but a place where DOST will be closer to the clients.
The event was conducted online via Facebook live and Zoom. The Capiz PSTC is specifically located within the CAPSU Main campus. (BPanes/DOST VI-KMU)
