DPWH-6 turns over P14-M quarantine facility to Roxas City

ROXAS CITY, Capiz— The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Wednesday turned over to the Roxas City government a Quarantine/Isolation Facility for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients and Healthcare Workers at the Hortus Botanicus in Barangay Milibili here.

The P14-million facility has 16 rooms for the frontliners and COVID-19 patients.

The turnover was witnessed by the personnel from the DPHW, Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas, city councilors, city health officer Dr. Lory Cahilog and medical frontliners.

Dadivas thanked the national government through the DPWH 1st Capiz Engineering District for the project.

He said that the facility could be converted into an office after the pandemic.

Meanwhile, 31 more persons infected with Covid-19 were added to the list in the province of Capiz.

Data from the Capiz Provincial Health Office (PHO) revealed that 9 individuals recovered while another died.

The province has 1,698 confirmed cases including 171 active cases, 1,448 recoveries, and 79 deaths.
