The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Iloilo 4th District Engineering Office has completed additional multi-purpose buildings in central Iloilo, enhancing infrastructure for local government offices and public services.

In Leganes, DPWH constructed a PHP9.899-million, two-story building adjacent to the municipal hall, providing officials and employees with a larger, more conducive workspace.

Similarly, a two-story building was completed for the New Lucena municipal government.

The PHP5.197-million facility will house the town’s Agricultural Office and General Services Office (GSO).

In Pavia, DPWH allocated PHP10.394 million for the construction of a two-story multi-purpose building, designed to provide accessible spaces for various age groups and community activities.

DPWH Regional Director Sanny Boy O. Oropel emphasized that these projects align with the department’s mission to deliver quality infrastructure that meets public needs.

“These facilities provide comfortable working spaces, boosting the morale of our public servants, which can lead to better productivity and service,” Oropel said.

District Engineer Mario G. Soriano credited the strong partnership between DPWH and local government units for the successful completion of these projects.

“These buildings were constructed to address the demand for versatile spaces that accommodate various community needs,” Soriano said.

Beyond roads, bridges, and flood control structures, DPWH remains committed to providing quality buildings that enhance public comfort and support efficient government services. (DPWH)
