Another suspected drug pusher was arrested during a police anti-narcotics operation in Pavia, Iloilo, on the evening of June 27.

Bryan Art Caro Huqueriza, 36, jobless, was arrested at his home in Barangay Balabag, Pavia.

Members of the Pavia Municipal Police Station, together with personnel from SBC Carles/EB Magalona 4th SOU and the PNP Maritime Group, arrested the suspect after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P6,500.

When he was frisked, police operatives seized 11 sachets of suspected shabu and several non-drug items.

Major Dadje Delima, Pavia police chief, said the seized drugs weighed around 60 grams and had a standard drug price of P408,000.

Delima noted that the suspect had no previous drug-related arrests.

An informant tipped off the local police about the suspect’s alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Delima said the suspect sourced his drug supply from another drug pusher who was arrested two weeks ago. Another local supplier also distributed shabu to Huqueriza.

The suspect is now detained and will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
