On April 29, 2025, the Department of Trade and Industry, through the Negosyo Center in Buenavista, brought its NC Mobile CARE (Consultancy, Advocacy, Registration and E-commerce) services to Tacay, Buenavista, Guimaras.
The initiative aims to provide business development support, promote entrepreneurship programs and empower local micro, small and medium enterprises through on-site consultations.
In her welcome remarks, Juvy D. Benliro, officer in charge of DTI Guimaras, emphasized the value of participation, stating: “Whether you’re starting a business, growing one or simply exploring, your presence today is a bold first step. It reflects your courage, curiosity and drive to create opportunities not just for yourself, but for your community.”
A total of 50 participants—including youth, aspiring entrepreneurs, existing MSMEs and senior citizens—enthusiastically joined the event to explore new opportunities and expand their business knowledge.
Participants took part in discussions and learning sessions covering the following topics:
- DTI programs and services
- Consumer rights and responsibilities
- Entrepreneurship
- Promotion of Green Economic Development
- Small Business Corp. loan programs
Notably, three participants applied for the SB Corp. loan program to support and expand their businesses.
The event ended with closing remarks from Rejoice Orquia, trade-industry development specialist and provincial focal person, who encouraged continued engagement with DTI.

Through the NC Mobile CARE Program, DTI and its Negosyo Centers reaffirm their commitment to delivering essential services and opportunities to every barangay, empowering more Filipinos in the process.
