DTI empowers Guimaras businesses through Green Initiative

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Guimaras recently held a successful NC MOBILE CARE (Consultancy, Advocacy, Registration, and E-commerce) event combined with the promotion of Green Economic Development, aimed at bolstering local entrepreneurship and fostering sustainable business practices.

Held on June 15 at Barangay Magamay, the initiative drew 50 participants, comprising 24 existing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and 26 potential MSMEs.

The event was spearheaded by Juvy D. Benliro, Officer-in-Charge of DTI Guimaras, who highlighted the importance of such programs in driving local economic growth and sustainability.

“Our goal is to support local businesses, foster entrepreneurship, and ensure consumer protection,” said Benliro. “Events like these allow us to directly engage with the community and provide them with the resources and knowledge they need to thrive.”

The program included comprehensive discussions on various DTI programs and services, financial literacy, consumer awareness, and the principles of Green Economic Development.

Additionally, the P3 Loan Program, facilitated by SBCorp Coordinator Ms. Gedalanga, was introduced to help participants explore financing options.

Participants received informative materials and had the opportunity to engage directly with DTI officials and experts, inquiring about specific programs and services.

The hands-on approach was designed to ensure that the local entrepreneurs could take full advantage of the resources available to them.

The DTI Guimaras remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the growth and development of MSMEs in the region.

Through initiatives like the NC MOBILE CARE event and the promotion of Green Economic Development, the DTI aims to contribute significantly to the local economy while promoting sustainable and eco-friendly business practices.
