The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Guimaras empowered local entrepreneurs through a successful NC Mobile CARE caravan held on June 18, 2024, in Barangay Aguilar, San Lorenzo.

The caravan aimed to bolster micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by enhancing awareness about entrepreneurship opportunities, consumer rights, and the DTI’s support programs and services.

“This allows us to directly connect with our MSME stakeholders and provide comprehensive guidance to nurture their growth,” said DTI Guimaras OIC Juvy Benliro.

Key topics such as entrepreneurship fundamentals, consumer education, and financing options were covered during the event. Joyce Gedalanga from the Small Business Corporation (SB Corp.) presented the P3 loan program, which offers necessary financial resources to support business growth and development.

Barangay Aguilar Punong Barangay Leo B. Magno expressed his gratitude for the initiative, hoping it would uplift community livelihoods.

“Thank you for joining us in this opportunity that can really help develop and uplift livelihoods here in our barangay. Hopefully, you really learn and apply this to your livelihoods. And hopefully, more programs are offered to help further enliven our barangay,” Magno told the participants.
