DTI Guimaras Equips MSMEs With Business Skills

JORDAN, Guimaras—The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Guimaras empowered local entrepreneurs through an Entrepreneurship Seminar and Basic Costing & Pricing Workshop on February 6 at Jollibee Function Hall in San Miguel.

The seminar, conducted through the Negosyo Center, was attended by 30 members of Dungganon Bank Inc. and facilitated by the Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. (NWTF) Client Services Department.

Miss Ruth G. Penuela and Miss Christine Rose I. Eleccion of DTI Guimaras led discussions on key entrepreneurial competencies, highlighting the characteristics of a successful business owner and essential problem-solving skills.

A hands-on costing and pricing workshop provided participants with practical knowledge on refining their pricing strategies to improve profitability.

The interactive session aimed to give micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) immediate and actionable insights for business growth.

Miss Gladys Aquino and Miss Mae Samillano facilitated the program, with Dungganon Bank Inc.’s assistant branch head and manager ensuring a smooth and productive session.
