DTI Guimaras holds consumer empowerment drive in Jordan

On June 28, 2024, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Guimaras, in collaboration with the Consumer Organization in Jordan, held an impactful information drive in Barangay Lawi, Jordan.

The initiative saw active participation from over 30 residents, with significant support from the Barangay Council of Lawi.

During the session, participants were educated on their basic consumer rights and responsibilities, along with the latest updates in consumer protection.

Informational materials were provided to ensure that residents had access to essential knowledge.

A key part of the program was the Question-and-Answer segment, which addressed various issues and concerns raised by the attendees.

DTI Guimaras continues to demonstrate its commitment to educating and empowering the public, extending its reach to even the most remote barangays.

By organizing such consumer awareness initiatives, DTI Guimaras aims to equip citizens with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions, thereby fostering wiser and more discerning consumers.

The event concluded with a Certificate of Appreciation awarded to the Barangay Council of Lawi, Jordan, in recognition of their invaluable support in making the activity a success.
