The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo Provincial Office will participate in the Grand Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Fair in Pavia, Iloilo, on May 26, 2025, reinforcing its commitment to improving public service accessibility for local entrepreneurs.
The one-day event is a joint initiative of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pavia, bringing together various government agencies and private sector partners under one roof.
The EODB Fair is part of a broader national campaign to simplify and streamline government transactions for citizens and business owners alike.
DTI Iloilo will provide key frontline services at the fair, including business name registration and renewal, with the added convenience of GCash payment options.
Other DTI services available include business counseling sessions and free information, education, and communication (IEC) materials aimed at empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“The DTI is proud to support this collaborative platform that brings our services closer to where they are needed most—on the ground, with the people,” said DTI Iloilo Trade Industry Development Specialist Kurt Maurice Tugaff.
Local entrepreneurs and the general public are encouraged to attend the fair to access a wide range of government services in a single, accessible venue.
The event underscores the goals of Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act, which mandates all agencies to reduce bureaucratic red tape and improve turnaround times.
The DTI has consistently backed ARTA’s initiatives, including nationwide EODB caravans and digital transformation efforts to make registering and managing businesses faster and more inclusive.
DTI’s business name registration system is one of the government’s most availed online platforms, with more than 1.5 million users registered nationwide as of 2024.
The Grand EODB Fair in Pavia reflects a growing synergy between national agencies and local governments to create a more responsive, citizen-centric bureaucracy.
