The Department of Trade and Industry-Competitiveness and Innovation Group (DTI-CIG) recently highlighted three award-winning Philippine startups at the ECHELON X conference, held from May 15 to 16 at the Singapore Expo.

In partnership with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center Singapore, Brainsparks, Inc., and Quest Ventures, the event featured the winners of the SLINGSHOT x Venture Pilipinas Pitch Competition from the Philippine Startup Week 2023.

These startups included Betterteem, a predictive analytics platform focused on reducing employee turnover and boosting engagement; Solx Technologies Inc., an energy solutions provider that enhances sustainability through an industry-driven data ecosystem; and Xeleqt AI, which develops AI-driven workforce management systems improving productivity and safety across various industries.

The Startup Pilipinas showcase is part of DTI’s business mission to connect these emerging companies with international investors, facilitating strategic business matching and securing investment deals and partnerships in Singapore and other regions.

It also provides structured networking and learning opportunities with key players in the startup ecosystem.

Undersecretary Rafaelita M. Aldaba of the DTI-CIG expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative.

“We are thrilled to support the participation of these exceptional Philippine startups at ECHELON X. This mission highlights the DTI’s commitment to grow the local startup ecosystem and foster meaningful collaborations on a regional scale,” Aldaba said.

The ECHELON X conference, hosted by Singapore-based e27, Asia’s largest tech and startup media platform, drew over 5,000 delegates and more than 200 startups from across Asia, providing a vital platform for fundraising and collaboration opportunities.

“These innovative companies demonstrate exceptional potential and are poised to impact the regional startup landscape significantly,” Aldaba added. “Their exposure to international platforms like ECHELON X will open doors to new opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the Philippine startup ecosystem.”
