The Department of Trade and Industry will spotlight Filipino food innovation and entrepreneurship at the 2025 Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair from April 9 to 13 at SM Megamall’s Megatrade Halls 1 to 3.
The five-day event is led by the DTI’s Bureau of Market Development, Promotions and OTOP, in cooperation with regional and provincial offices.
It will feature more than 250 food-based micro, small and medium enterprises from across the Philippines.
“The National Food Fair serves as an essential platform for Filipino MSMEs to introduce their products and innovations to broader markets,” said Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza D. Bautista, supervising head of the DTI Competitiveness and Innovation Group.
“Through this event, we aim to empower entrepreneurs by providing critical opportunities and resources necessary for them to thrive locally and internationally.”
More than a marketplace, the fair celebrates Filipino culture, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
Visitors can sample traditional heritage recipes, explore innovative food products and enjoy culinary specialties from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
This year’s highlights include the launch of the DTI Bagong Pilipinas Marketplace, a business-to-business e-commerce platform designed to help local MSMEs connect with global buyers.
The platform aims to significantly expand market reach and streamline access to institutional buyers worldwide.
The fair will also feature diverse food clusters, offering a variety of Filipino flavors from fresh and processed seafood, meats and local produce to regional delicacies, artisanal beverages, botanical drinks and health supplements.
Specialty products such as coconut and cacao-based goods will also be showcased.
Immersive culinary settings will include the Fresh Produce Grand Marketplace, the KAPEtirya Philippine Coffee Pavilion and the KAINAN Dining Area.
These areas are designed to enhance visitor engagement and promote local culinary excellence.
Sustainability and innovation will take center stage through exhibits of eco-friendly packaging, plant-based products, functional snacks and advanced food processing technologies.
Daily interactive activities will include cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs, wine-mixing and food pairing sessions, business forums, product showcases and live cultural performances.
The 2025 DTI Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair serves as a key platform for food enthusiasts, buyers and advocates of local products to discover trends, support Filipino innovation and contribute to the growth of the country’s food sector.
