Performing Duck, Cover and Hold aims to prepare Ilonggos on how to respond to earthquakes and other emergencies brought about by man-made and natural disasters.
The earthquake drill helped raise public awareness on the possible risks, guide employees on the proper response and reduce injury and death during an earthquake incidence.
Five major areas were highlighted during the NSED. These were John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Arevalo campus in cooperation with Barangay Santo Niño; SM City; Megaworld; Iloilo Mission Hospital; and the Iloilo City Hall. (DENR-6)
