Two high-value individuals (HVIs) who allegedly connived in selling illegal drugs were arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation evening of Oct. 23 at Lapuz Sur, Iloilo City.

Police only identified the suspects as Juvic, 27, and  Pamela, 37, of Barangay Tamboilan, Dumangas, Iloilo, who were collared right after Gebusion allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P10,000.

Members of the Iloilo City Police Office – City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU), together with the Iloilo City Police Station 2, the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company, the Coast Guard Intelligence Group Western Visayas and the Maritime Police Station 6, carried out the operation after a two-week surveillance.

Recovered from the suspects were 13 more sachets of suspected shabu.

Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr., CDEU chief, said the seized drugs weighed around 60 grams and had an estimated standard drug price of P408,000.

Benitez said that both suspects have no previous arrests, drug-related or otherwise.

However, they are on the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) watchlist of illegal drug personalities.

The two allegedly sourced their supply from Bacolod City and distributed them to street level pushers in Iloilo City.

The two suspects are now detained and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
