Two persons were arrested following a police anti-illegal drugs operation afternoon of July 26 in City Proper, Iloilo City.
Police identified the suspects as Juvy Fajutar, 43, of Barangay Sinikway Lapuz, Iloilo City and June Rey Bartolome, 36, of Railway St., Barangay San Nicolas, La Paz Iloilo City.
Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 6, together with the Iloilo City Police Station 1, collared the suspects after selling two sachets of suspected shabu for P20,000.
Recovered from Fajutar were five sachets of suspected shabu wrapped in a candy wrapper, cash of P300, a mobile phone, a sling bag, and 12 candy wrappers.
On the other hand, Bartolome yielded two knot-tied sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, and a brown pouch.
Also seized from them were P700 cash, a digital weighing scale, a bundle of empty plastic sachets, and other non-drug items.
The seized drugs weighed around 130 grams and were valued at P884,000.
Reports said Fajutar sourced his supply from Luzon through a detainee he knew when he was imprisoned.
Their arrest came after a two-month surveillance operation.
Fajutar and Bartolome are now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
