BACOLOD City – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is expected to arrive here today, Jan. 23, 2020, for the birthday of Olivia Villaflor Yanson, the matriarch of the Yanson clan that owns and operates Ceres buses all over the country.
Olivia, who turns 86 today, held a pre-birthday celebration at her resort in Barangay Bubog, Talisay City Wednesday.
She told reporters that aside from Duterte she is also expecting senators and other national officials to join her birthday celebration at a plush hotel here.
She also said members of the Presidential Security Group are already here as part of the preparation for her 86th birthday.
The matriarch recalled that the President would even come to her resort unannounced and sing the videoke.
He sings well, she said adding that his favorite song is “Ikaw”.
The matriarch also said that she will continue with her charity works.
“I will spend my whole life in my charity works,” she said.
Olivia will mark her birthday amid a rift with her four other children led by eldest son Roy Yanson over control of their bus firms.
