The kings of the NBA 2K Asia Pacific tournament continued their strong performance after starting the FIBA Esports Open 2020 with a flawless record.
E-Gilas Pilipinas completed their demolition mission against the Indonesians, sweeping them 5-0 in their first series of matches against the top 2K squads from all over the world.
In their last game, the Filipinos trampled the Indonesians, 71-35, during day three of the tournament.
In the five-game series, E-Gilas had an average margin of 32.8 points per game, winning all five comfortably through good chemistry.
The Indonesians were able to make game five interesting as they adjusted their defensive gameplan to hold E-Gilas to only 22 points in the first 10 minutes of the match.
However, as soon as the third quarter started E-Gilas immediately went on a quick attack and pressed defensively, clinching a 24-7 third quarter run that left the Indonesians struggling to recover.
Members of the E-Gilas squad are Rial Polog Jr., Aljon “Shintarou” Cruzin, Philippe “Izzo” Alcaraz Herrero IV, Custer “Aguila” Galas, Clark Banzon, Rocky “Rak” Braña and Al “Alt” Timajo.
