Eala siblings look to take the 2021 tennis scene by storm

After a stellar 2020, Miko and Alex Eala are looking to have a strong start this 2021 despite going separate ways.

Miko, a fresh graduate from the Rafael Nadal Academy has just been picked as a part of the varsity team of an NCAA Division I school Penn State.

The older sibling will try to impress in the prized college tennis tournament that is reported to begin this May.

Before exiting one of the most famous tennis academies in the world, Miko got a chance to practice with Rafael Nadal himself and former world no. 1 player Carlos Moya.

Alex meanwhile will be continuing to train under the helm of the same academy and will continue her bright professional juniors’ career.

The Filipina tennis sensation is currently the world’s no. 3 ranked singles’ girls’ player behind superstars Elsa Jacquemot of France and Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva.

Her latest achievements also made her as the Philippines’ first junior Grand Slam semifinalist in 35 years after clinching a sear during the 2020 Roland Garros singles tournament.
