EdgePoint Philippines has secured over 400 new telecommunications tenancies, further expanding its infrastructure across Luzon, Metro Manila, and Visayas to enhance digital connectivity in the Philippines.
The new tenancies, including both new sites and colocation arrangements, reflect the company’s commitment to supporting the country’s connectivity initiatives and digital transformation.
William Walters, CEO of EdgePoint Philippines, emphasized the importance of this development for the company and the broader telecommunications sector.
“The award of over 400 new tenancies marks a pivotal milestone for us as a growing towerco,” he said. “We are witnessing an increasing demand for colocation tenancy sites, reflecting the Common Tower Policy coming to fruition and driving connectivity improvements.”
The Philippines’ Common Tower Policy, which enables shared telecommunications infrastructure among service providers, has played a significant role in advancing this growth.
By streamlining the permitting process and promoting shared infrastructure, the policy lowers market entry barriers, encourages competition, and accelerates infrastructure deployment, particularly in unserved and underserved areas. This approach supports the country’s goal of expanding wireless coverage to meet rising demands for mobile and internet services.
EdgePoint’s new tenancies contribute to a robust digital infrastructure portfolio, with the company now operating 2,800 sites in the Philippines.
In just two years, EdgePoint has become the country’s third-largest independent tower company, cementing its role as a critical player in the telecommunications landscape.
The expanded infrastructure is expected to deliver significant improvements in network connectivity, which Walters believes will “enhance the country’s digital landscape and support the country’s digital transformation by enabling greater access to high-quality network services.”
Headquartered in Singapore, EdgePoint Infrastructure has operations in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
With a focus on sharable telecom structures, small cells, and in-building systems, the company aims to strengthen connectivity across ASEAN through scale, innovation, and advanced digital technologies.
