Filipino legend mixed martial artist Eduard Folayang can’t wait to step on the ONE octagon once again and showcase his craft.

Supposed to take on long-time rival Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama, the highly-anticipated clash was scrapped last-minute due to Akiyama suffering an injury.

“If given the chance to face him, of course, I’d want to test him. I haven’t faced him before, and I want to see how I’d fare against him,” Folayang said.

Folayang is currently facing a fight drought in ONE and is spending his time training and guiding the young bloods that recently joined coach Mark Sangiao’s Team Lakay.

Chasing another title crack, Folayang expressed how he wanted another fight at ONE and would love to take on any matchup the management will bring to him.

Folayang was the former champion in the Lightweight division and shrugged off retirement issues after absorbing a losing streak last year.

The Team Lakay flag bearer then confirmed that retirement never crossed his mind and is still eyeing to compete as long as he is in the right condition to fight.
