Education and talent solutions provider ETS launched TOEIC Link, a next-generation English proficiency assessment tailored for global organizations and modern workforce demands.
The new online testing platform builds on the legacy of the TOEIC program, which has assessed over 136 million test takers worldwide for workplace English proficiency over the past 45 years.
TOEIC Link combines ETS’s 75 years of research-driven assessment with digital innovation to offer a flexible, modular, and scalable experience for both businesses and higher education institutions.
“In today’s professional landscape, organizations need an English assessment that is both reliable and adaptable,” said Ratnesh Jha, global GM for institutional products at ETS.
“TOEIC Link offers a modern solution that delivers speed and flexibility while upholding the research-backed rigor that ETS is known for,” Jha added.
The TOEIC Link suite allows organizations to assess Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing skills either separately or in combination depending on specific needs.
Speaking and writing results are released within 48 hours, while scores for listening and reading are available instantly.
This ensures faster decision-making for human resource managers, educators, and corporate training teams.
The assessments are administered fully online and feature AI-enhanced remote proctoring to ensure test integrity.
Scores are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), providing standardized benchmarks for global comparability.
ETS emphasized that TOEIC Link reflects today’s fast-paced, interconnected work environments where communication precision and agility are essential.
The Speaking module evaluates fluency and real-time verbal communication in workplace settings.
The Writing module measures grammar, vocabulary, and structure through realistic professional scenarios.
The Listening and Reading modules build on ETS’s trusted TOEIC frameworks and focus on comprehension in real-world and business contexts.
As TOEIC Link expands across international markets, ETS reaffirmed its commitment to supporting multilingual workforce development through accessible and advanced assessment solutions.
