A Filipino educator who previously held supervisory posts in Antique has been arrested in Las Vegas after authorities filed felony charges of lewdness involving a child younger than 14.
Local reports said Francisco Misajon Jr., 48, was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Jan. 6, 2026.
He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, where bail was set at USD 200,000.
Misajon worked for about 18 months as a fourth-grade teacher at Innovations International Charter School’s K–6 campus on Oakey Boulevard in central Las Vegas.
The charter school, which is not affiliated with the Clark County School District, placed him on administrative leave on Jan. 5 after receiving allegations of inappropriate conduct involving a student.
The school barred Misajon from contacting students or staff while the investigation is ongoing.
Police said Misajon is suspected of lewdness with a minor but did not release details on the timing, location, or circumstances of the alleged assault.
Detectives also alleged that he obstructed or deterred a victim or witness from reporting the incident.
Authorities said they believe additional victims may exist due to Misajon’s teaching role and interactions with youth students.
Records show that from 2021 to 2024, Misajon served as education program supervisor in English at the Schools Division Office of Antique.
He also served as District 1 public school district supervisor of San Remigio in 2020.
From 2022 to 2023, he was officer in charge district supervisor of San Remigio.
