BACOLOD City – A former barangay official and six others, including her brother, were arrested by police in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental from June 23 to 25.
Police seized from them an estimated total of P171,394 worth of suspected shabu in the past three days.
In Ilog town, Sally Bandolos, 53, former kagawad of Barangay Dancalan, and her younger brother Carlos Dela Cruz, 46, of Barangay Bocana were apprehended in Barangay Galicia last Friday, following the confiscation of P6,834 worth of suspected shabu.
Police Major Joseph Partidas, town police chief, said the siblings are street level individuals.
Dela Cruz was previously arrested for a drug offense and is now under probation.
Partidas said they have been monitoring the siblings since they are included in the drugs watchlist of the police station.
“Dugay na na sila gina monitor. Wala na sila abi gabulagay sa transaction. Upod gid na sila pirmi,” he added.
Partidas said that Dela Cruz allegedly sold a shabu to a police agent, while Bandolos was reportedly caught in possession of the illegal drugs.
Police also recovered from them the P500 marked money, P1,282, and a motorcycle.
Aside from this operation, policemen also arrested five individuals in the cities of Talisay, La Carlota, Silay, and Bago, and the town of Manapla which resulted in the confiscation of P164,560 worth of suspected shabu.
