PBA’s extra rice duo of JR Quiñahan and Beau Belga will be facing several sanctions from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) after getting into a brawl in a ligang labas game at Cebu last weekend.

Moments after the incident happened, a video posted on Facebook quickly went viral after Quiñahan was seen throwing hands at a foreign import of the opposing team.

Meanwhile, seconds after seeing his pal Quiñahan get hit by multiple punches, Belga rushed to the import and threw the ball directly at his head.

The PBA through commissioner Willie Marcial then announced that they’ve been notified of the incident at Cebu involving their players and immediately said that he will be summoning both Quiñahan and Belga to his office.

On the other hand, both Quiñahan and Belga’s mother teams in the PBA already confirmed that they already gave them several sanctions heading into the next season.

The Rain or Shine Elastopainters, the team where Belga plays in the PBA, announced that they will be suspending him for six days without salary.

Meanwhile, Quiñahan’s NLEX Road Warriors’, already said that they are still finalizing the sanctions that will meet the criteria.

However, in a report posted by Inquirer Sports published last April 24, a team source from the Road Warriors said that they are discussing the termination of Quiñahan’s contract.

Quiñahan failed to suit up for the Road Warriors last conference due to an Achilles tendon injury but reports already reached NLEX that the big man is actively playing in the outside invitational leagues.

Also, the team source revealed that Quiñahan isn’t active in joining their team practices during the build-up of the recently concluded Governor’s Cup.

As of now, it is still yet to be determined if both professional players already reported to the office of Commissioner Marcial.
