Farmer Killed in Jamindan Shooting, Hacking

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 56-year-old farmer was shot and hacked to death by five individuals on Monday evening, October 14, at Sitio Proper, Barangay Pasol-o, Jamindan, Capiz.

The police identified the victim as Henry Ordanel Quinpayo, a resident of the area. The suspects were identified only by their aliases: “Inday,” “Jolan,” “Marco,” “Lusita,” and “Jhon,” all from the same barangay.

According to information from the Jamindan Police Station, the victim had left his house with a bolo, claiming that the suspects had challenged him to a fight.

While walking on the street, one of the suspects shot him in the buttock, causing him to fall to the ground.

The other suspects then took turns hacking him in different parts of his body.

Quinpayo was rushed to the Rural Health Unit of Jamindan but was declared dead on arrival.

The police recovered the bolo belonging to the victim at the crime scene.

A manhunt operation has been launched to apprehend the suspects, who fled after the attack.
