Filipino-Australian mixed martial artist Josh “Kuya” Culibao will have his chance to bounce back in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) after receiving an undercard invite in UFC Fight Night: Font vs Garbrandt.

Tasting his first defeat and draw in the UFC, Culibao is laser-focused to turn things around and deliver his first-ever win in the big boys’ league.

Culibao is set to face Sha Yilan of China this May 22 (May 23, Sunday, Philippine time) who will be debuting in the UFC with a brawl/wrestling fighting style.

On the other hand, the Filipino Culibao will look to flaunt his striking skills against the take-down prowess of his Chinese opponent.

“Kuya” will try to recover from a second-round knockout loss against Jalin Turner and a disappointing split draw against Charles Jourdain last October 3, 2020.

Ever confident, Culibao still holds an impressive professional record of 8-1-1 and is looking to wow the crowd come fight night at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
