Ray Adrian Macalalag, a Filipino road safety advocate, content creator, and transport expert, has been chosen as a Global Youth Ambassador to represent the Western Pacific Region at two major international road safety events in Marrakech, Morocco.

He will attend the 3rd World Youth Assembly for Road Safety on February 15-16, 2025, followed by the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety on February 18-20, 2025.

These events will bring together young leaders, policymakers, and global experts to drive action on road safety as part of the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030.

“I am honored to represent the youth and the Philippines on a global stage,” Engr. Macalalag said.

“Road safety is a pressing issue, and I am committed to advocating for policies that will help reduce road traffic fatalities and injuries worldwide.”

The World Youth Assembly for Road Safety, organized by Youth for Road Safety (YOURS) and the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety, aims to empower young leaders to push for stronger investments in road safety and sustainable mobility.

Meanwhile, the Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Morocco’s National Road Safety Agency (NARSA), will gather 1,500 high-level delegates, including government ministers, UN officials, civil society leaders, and private sector representatives.
