Fish vendor caught with P374k worth of shabu

A fish vendor was detained following a drug bust in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, yielding 55 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P374,000, last Sunday.

BACOLOD CITY – a fish vendor, 37, was apprehended by the police for possessing 55 grams of suspected shabu valued at P374,000 in Purok Langis, Barangay Banago, this past Sunday.

Police Captain Rondyl Tapang, who leads Police Station 3, referred to the accused as “Madam,” known as a local street dealer.

The Police Drug Enforcement Group’s Special Operations Unit (SOU)-6 conducted surveillance on “Madam” with support from Police Station 3 during the sting operation, in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The authorities recovered 11 packets of the illegal substance along with P1,000 in marked bills from the suspect.

According to Captain Tapang, the PDEG is now finalizing the drug charges to be filed against “Madam.”
