Based on their initial investigation, the victim left home for Barangay Bailan, Pontevedra town to buy fish. It is believed that he was waylaid along the way.
The victim’s sling bag containing around P10,000 cash was missing.
Majometano said the victim could have been struck with a hard object on his back.
“He could have also been strangled,” he said.
The victim was still taken to Dao District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
