Five arrested, PHP231,200 worth of ‘shabu’ seized

BACOLOD CITY — Authorities dismantled a purported drug den and arrested five people in separate buy-bust operations over the weekend, seizing a total of PHP231,200 worth of suspected shabu.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Negros Occidental raided an alleged drug den and arrested three high-value targets in Purok Ammaliz 1, Barangay 40, on Saturday.

The suspects were identified as “Bebe,” 25; “Richard,” 49; and “Norlex,” 53.

Authorities confiscated several sachets of suspected shabu weighing eight grams, with a street value of PHP54,400.

They also recovered improvised tooters, lighters, marked money, and PHP110 believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions.

The following day, a 36-year-old man and a teenager were caught with 26 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP176,800 in Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2.

Police arrested “James,” of Barangay Singcang-Airport, and an 18-year-old girl from Barangay Taculing.

According to a report from Police Station 2, the teenager allegedly conspired with the older suspect in the illegal drug trade.
