Five caught for curfew violation

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Five persons were caught by local authorities for violating curfew imposed in various areas.

Police in Pontevedra, Capiz arrested Andric Banico, Regine Palmes and Federico Jugao, all residents of Barangay Chiquito, Panay, Capiz.

The three were accosted while riding a motorcycle at Barangay Tabuc, Pontevedra town.

Investigation by the Pontevedra PNP indicated that the three came from Barangay Chiquito, Panay to Barangay Tabuc, Pontevedra.

The police said the three were drunk.

Meanwhile, two cell site foremen were detained at the Roxas City Police Station also for violating the curfew at Brgy. Dayao here.

Police identified them as Oliver Dalaguit, 39, of Dumaguete City and Cristobal Dela Cruz, 32, of Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.

The two were drunk when arrested.

The barangay officials sought police assistance after the two refused to cooperate with them.

Last week, seven persons were arrested in separate occasions for violating the curfew hours.

The province of Capiz implemented the curfew hours from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. based on Executive Order No. 11, series of 2020 issued by Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras.
