Senior Girl Scouts and adult leaders from Iloilo Girl Scout Council represented Philippines in United Kingdom and Korea in July and August 2019.

Marie Claire E. Laru-an, Council Executive of Iloilo Council; and Mary Divine de Villaluna , a Cadet Girl Scout from the University of San Agustin, along with other girls scouts from Davao and Camarines Sur were delegates to the 9th Charnwood Camp at Cattows Farm, Leicestershire, United Kingdom on July 27 to August 3, 2019.

The camp featured various interesting programs and dynamic events for over 5,000 young people from all members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

De Villaluna was also a grand finalist in the Charnwood Got Talent.

Fremsette Leah P. Nazareta, a troop leader from Mostro National High School of Anilao; and Holly Dei Syree T. Fundal, a Senior Girl Scout from Assumption School Iloilo, along with girls from eight other councils represented Philippines during the 17th Girl Scout International Camp with the theme “Connect! Grow! Impact for Peace” in Goseong World Jamboree camp site, Gangwon-do, Korea last August 5 to 9, 2019.

Leonora T. Galupino, a troop leader from Sibunag, Guimaras enjoyed her grant as one of three Outstanding District Field Adviser of the GSP during the “Journey Through London” at Pax Lodge World Center of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in London, United Kingdom last August 18-23, 2019.

Galupino had the opportunity to go up in the London Eye, experience a West End theatre show, volunteer at a local community service project, and more.

Iloilo Girl Scouts don’t limit themselves to local camps but they can also showcase their skills in international scouting events and camps.
