Five nabbed, P293,000 worth of ‘shabu’ seized in drug busts

BACOLOD City – Five persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations which resulted in the recovery of P293,000 worth of suspected shabu here from December 22 to 26.

The biggest operation was conducted inside an inn at Barangay 40 here where Hardy Gellang, 35, of Barangay 19 here was arrested last Tuesday for the seizure of 13 grams of suspected shabu worth P195,000, the P500 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and a .357 caliber revolver loaded with four live ammunition.

Gellang, a street level target, is detained at Police Station 2.

The following day, Shery Mae Jopson, 24, of Barangay Mansilingan was arrested at the said village after police confiscated from the suspect two grams of suspected shabu worth P20,000, and the P300 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 7.

Also arrested last Thursday at Barangay 27 here were Adelfa Aspan, 45, a street level target; and Manuel Parandas, 28.

Police recovered from them eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P48,000, the P500 marked money, and P650 cash. Both suspects are detained at Police Station 4.

Last December 22, Edgar Gemina, 46, of Barangay 2 here was arrested at the said village after he allegedly yielded two grams of suspected shabu worth P20,000, and the P200 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 2.
