The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has welcomed five new officers to strengthen its services and enhance its performance.
Colonel Kim Legada, Iloilo City police chief, said the new personnel officially joined the ICPO’s ranks on September 4, following orders from Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky.
The new officers were identified as Lieutenant Colonel Dante Tayco, Captain Ryan Christ Inot, Captain Michael Tuburan, Lieutenant Leo Angelo Castro, and Lieutenant Owen Andrada.
Tayco, previously assigned to the Capiz Police Provincial Office, was designated as the chief of ICPO’s City Intelligence Unit (CIU).
Inot, who formerly served at the Office of the PRO-6 Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO) and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 6, will lead the ICPO’s City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).
Tuburan, formerly with Bacolod City Police Station 9, was assigned as the officer-in-charge of Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 7.
Castro, who came from the Capiz PPO, joined the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company (ICMFC).
Andrada, previously with the Aklan Police Provincial Office, will serve as the deputy chief of Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 6.
“We thank the PRO-6 for granting our request for additional personnel to benefit our community,” Legada said.
He explained that several officers have been scheduled for training, and the newly assigned officers will fill the gaps left behind to ensure continuous and efficient service for Iloilo City’s constituents and visitors.
Legada assured the community that the experience, commitment, and dedication of the ICPO personnel would significantly enhance efforts to maintain the safety and security of Iloilo City’s residents.
